Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your safari begins with a morning drive from Nairobi heading south toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The open plains of Amboseli provide superb views of elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalos and numerous bird species, all framed by the towering presence of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s diverse habitats, from its seasonal wetlands to the dry savannahs dotted with acacia trees. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent chances to photograph large elephant herds, predators, and other plains wildlife. Between drives, relax at the lodge and enjoy uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive back toward Nairobi before proceeding through the scenic Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Arrive for lunch and spend your afternoon on a relaxing boat ride, where you may encounter hippos, fish eagles and other lake-dwelling birds. A visit to Crescent Island Sanctuary may follow, offering a gentle guided walk among freely roaming wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your Naivasha lodge.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve

Leave Naivasha after breakfast and travel across the Rift Valley plains toward the world-renowned Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a late afternoon game drive where you start encountering the Mara’s incredible wildlife—elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and more roaming across the open savannah. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Today is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara. Head out for a sunrise game drive to witness the plains come alive with predators and grazing herds. You may opt for a full-day game drive with packed lunch, allowing you to reach deeper areas of the reserve and increase your chances of spotting the Big Five. Return to your lodge in the evening for relaxation and a hearty dinner.

Day 6: Another Full Day in Masai Mara

Enjoy another full day in the Masai Mara, maximizing your wildlife encounters. Explore new areas of the reserve or revisit favorite locations rich in wildlife activity. Optional activities such as a Maasai cultural village visit or an early morning hot air balloon safari can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After a final morning game drive and breakfast, check out and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your memorable 7-day safari.
