11 Days Tsavo Amboseli Mount Kenya Samburu Nakuru Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park

Depart Nairobi in the morning and head along the Mombasa highway toward Tsavo East, famous for its vast landscapes and red-dust elephants. Enter the park with an en-route game drive before arriving at your lodge for lunch. The afternoon is spent exploring the open plains in search of lions, zebras, giraffes and herds of elephants. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you exit Tsavo East and proceed to Tsavo West. The scenery changes to rolling hills, volcanic formations and dense bushland. After lunch, visit Mzima Springs—home to hippos and crocodiles in clear spring waters—before continuing with another game drive. Evening at your Tsavo West lodge.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park

Leave Tsavo West after breakfast and drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive for lunch and relax before your afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli camp or lodge.

Day 4: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Day 5: Amboseli – Mount Kenya Region

Day 6: Mount Kenya – Samburu National Reserve

In the morning, drive further north to Samburu National Reserve, home to unique northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River where elephants and big cats are often sighted. Overnight at a Samburu lodge or camp.

Day 7: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Explore Samburu in detail with morning and afternoon game drives. The rugged terrain, rocky hills and riverine forests create perfect habitats for predators and rare species. Relax at your lodge between game drives. Dinner and overnight in Samburu.

Day 8: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Samburu after breakfast and travel south into the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to rhinos, buffaloes, flamingos (seasonal), leopards and other wildlife populating the acacia woodlands. Dinner and overnight at your Nakuru lodge.

Day 9: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive across the Rift Valley plains toward the Masai Mara, arriving for lunch. A late afternoon game drive offers your first glimpse of the reserve’s abundant wildlife including elephants, lions, cheetahs and roaming wildebeest herds. Dinner and overnight at a Masai Mara camp.

Day 10: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 11: Masai Mara – Nairobi
