7 Days Samburu, Aberdare, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Safari – Kenya Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, heading north across the equator and scenic farmlands toward Samburu National Reserve. On arrival, you enjoy your first game drive as you proceed to the lodge. After lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to exploring Samburu’s rugged landscapes, home to rare wildlife such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx. Dinner and overnight at your Samburu lodge or camp.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Spend the entire day discovering Samburu’s wildlife-rich ecosystem. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the remarkable Samburu Special Five. The Ewaso Nyiro River provides a lifeline for wildlife, offering fantastic photographic moments. Return to the lodge for relaxation, meals, and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, you leave Samburu and drive to the cool highlands of the Aberdares. Arrive at your base hotel for lunch, then transfer to a tree lodge tucked deep within the forest. From the comfort of the viewing decks, you watch wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and bushbucks visiting the floodlit waterholes and salt licks throughout the night. Dinner and overnight at your Aberdare tree lodge.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park

In the morning, you head down to the Great Rift Valley en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. After checking in and having lunch, your afternoon game drive introduces you to the park’s rich birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans, as well as rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, and leopards. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive across the Rift Valley plains toward the world-renowned Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive across the Endless Mara plains, where abundant wildlife—including elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeests—roam freely. Dinner and overnight at your Masai Mara camp or lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Today is set aside for a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. At sunrise, venture into the reserve for thrilling encounters with the Big Five and countless other species. You may choose to carry picnic lunch for a full-day safari or return to the lodge for midday relaxation before another afternoon exploration. Optional activities such as a balloon safari or Maasai cultural visit can be arranged. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit the Masai Mara. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or airport marks the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
