Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa/Nairobi – Tsavo West National Park

Your journey begins with an early morning transfer to Tsavo West, entering the park for the first game drive across its dramatic terrains filled with rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and lava formations. As you explore the park, you may encounter elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and predators roaming freely. After lunch at your lodge, the afternoon is spent visiting the famous Ngulia area and the Shetani Lava Flow before returning for dinner and overnight surrounded by Tsavo’s wild beauty.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Mzima Springs – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you visit Mzima Springs, a sparkling oasis fed by underground streams where hippos and crocodiles thrive in crystal-clear waters. You enjoy a short nature walk before exiting Tsavo West and driving toward Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you settle in for lunch and rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive across Amboseli’s open plains. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, varied wildlife, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering one of Africa’s best photography settings.

Day 3: Amboseli – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Salt Lick Lodge

The day begins with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli, taking advantage of the clear early-morning views of Kilimanjaro and active wildlife. After breakfast, you depart the park and drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving in time for lunch. You check into the iconic Salt Lick Lodge, uniquely built on stilts above illuminated waterholes visited by elephants, buffalos, and antelopes. An afternoon game drive follows through the sanctuary’s rolling hills before returning to the lodge to enjoy wildlife sightings right from your room.

Day 4: Salt Lick – Morning Game Drive – Return to Mombasa/Nairobi

You start with an early morning game drive within Taita Hills, taking in the peaceful landscapes and excellent wildlife viewing before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After checking out, you exit the sanctuary and begin your journey back to Mombasa or Nairobi.
